and this is how it was promoted (lifted again from one of the verbose Facebook Event Invites):
Adam comes in with his two-person backing band, along with two local solo sets, following a whirlwind (or low-key, depending) Labor Day weekend.
Adam Faucett
Joe Davolt
Of Course You Realize…
To simply call this “folk” would only BEGIN to scrape the compositions to be experienced.
A plaintive voice drifts over the plains. Even though it looks like you’re alone, you just KNOW that Adam Faucett is here, and because of that, there’s a chance that you’ll finally find home. After this night, you’ll hear him in every aging leaf, every time that bustle of the modern world stops for even an instant. Every time that croon springs a well of sadness in the heart of a listener, it’s apparent that there might be at least one person in the room rooting for you to continue onward. The planks and stones of the buildings will harmonize, and time will forget the speed at which it’s supposed to progress.
Joseph Davolt has been frequently playing with his band, The Davolt Revolt, and drumming for These Magnificent Tapeworms, but tonight, we’ll get to experience him solo without it being an Open Mic night. Songs recall powerpop and 60’s rock n’roll without the pretension, but retaining all of the fun and heart. Containing this all within the intimacy of a one-man performance has become natural for Joe.
Of Course You Realize… Karthik Kakarala plays music, even if it doesn’t resonate with an mp3 era. Heartfelt concern for others gives way to immersion in a collective isolation. Holding the songs together by force with a weakened voice, his whispers give way to a howl about the Pre-Apocalypse, with distance and dissonance providing ample warnings. See his set because you want to hear something new. Listen to his music because you want to feel safe or don’t want to be safe anymore.

More Adam Faucett pictures to be added. I won’t be selling CDs at this show, because I want you to spend money on Adam Faucett’s stuff. We aim to end fairly early for a Carbondale show, so you can either continue your night or go to sleep with equal ease afterwards, as per your preference. Help us out with that by showing up closer to on-time, because I’m infamous for being really damn serious about doing that when I have a heavy hand in a show.
Don’t let the fact that I’m playing deter you from hearing Adam Faucett live: Check out his music.
