Dave X, who runs local (to Carbondale, IL) experimental music radio show It’s Too Damn Early (which is available for streaming live at its 4:00a.m.-6:30 a.m. Saturday morning time here), will be publicly administering the live debut of John Cage’s piece, “Knobs” with the assistance of a couple of critical gear donations from Solar Shadows Records. It’s FREE, so there’s not really much reason to miss this if you live in Carbondale, unless you actually have class or work at the time of the performance itself.
This promo video directly references a fairly preposterous local’s take on listening to a thought-lost copy of a release by Dave X, with some liberal splicing in of Mr. Cage himself. Tom has already labeled this as a response to the original video.
Tom Vasilj is excellent and really continues to be one of the most underrated figures in Illinois.
